TERMS & CONDITIONS BUILDING

The International Swimming Pool Exhibition Piscina BCN calls for entries for the first edition of the International Swimming Pool BCN Awards for residential, wellness centres and recreational sports facilities in use.

PARTICIPATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Entries for the 2011 Swimming Pool Building Awards can be those of residential swimming pools, wellness centres and recreational sports facilities of new construction or refurbished, completed between the 1st of September 2008 and the 31st August 2011.

2. The proposals must be submitted via the registration form and attach the information of the building consisting of: site plans, construction dates, agents involved in the construction, description of the building detailing its innovation and sustainability aspects

The inscription must include photographs and all the necessary attached documentation to understand the building.

3. The deadline for submission of documentation is 2.00 p.m. on the 20th September 2011.

4. The Jury may request additional information if needed.

5. The Jury will give the following Awards:

Piscina BCN 2011 Award residential swimming pool

Piscina BCN 2011 Award wellness centre

Piscina BCN 2011 Award recreational sports facilities

If appropriate, the Jury may award special mentions.

The Award consists of a commemorative diploma, which shall be presented to the companies, contractors and technical personnel that have been involved in the construction of the building.

The Awards may not be declared vacant or granted on an ex aequo basis.

6. The Jury will give its awards based on the innovation aspects of the building and of its sustainability criteria during its use of resources and its life cycle.

7. Resolution of any incident arising with regard to the adjudication of the Awards shall be the sole responsibility of the Jury. The Jury’s decisions shall be final.

8. The announcement of the Jury’s decision and the Awards Ceremony shall take place in a public event during the Piscina BCN 2011 Exhibition.

9. Participation in the Piscina BCN Building Awards implies acceptance of these Rules.

TERMS & CONDITIONS PRODUCT

The International Swimming Pool Exhibition Piscina BCN calls for entries for this new edition of its Awards for innovation and sustainability of products and/or processes present in the Exhibition.

PARTICIPATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. All the products or processes exhibited at the Piscina BCN 2011 and submitted in response to this call for entries, shall be eligible for the Piscina BCN 2011 innovation Award and the Piscina BCN 2011 sustainability Award.

2. The products submitted for consideration for these Awards must be entered by the individual or legal entity that rents the space where they are exhibited at the Piscina BCN.

Candidates must register via the registration form and attach the product information in doc, pdf, or jpg format.

The files must be sent compressed in a zip or rar file that cannot be larger than 20 Mb.

3. The deadline for submission of documentation is 2.00 p.m. on the 20 th September 2011.

4. The Jury may request additional information if needed.

5. The Jury will award the Piscina BCN 2011 innovation Award to a product, system or service that represents a major contribution by way of a new approach to the construction process, use or maintenance of residential swimming-pools, wellness centres and recreational sports facilities.

6. El Jury will award the Piscina BCN 2011 sustainability Award to a product that represents a major contribution in the efficiency use of resources (water, energy, raw materials) and its respect for the environment during its life cycle (manufacturing, construction setting up, use, deconstruction and recycling).

7. The Jury will award the Piscina BCN 2011 Innovation Award and the Piscina BCN 2011 Sustainability Award to those it considers the winners. If appropriate, it may award special mentions.

The Award consists of a commemorative diploma, which shall be presented to the individual or legal entity that has submitted the product.
